“Fine ladies and gentlemen of Estes Park”. I am thrilled (and chilled) to announce our “Second Annual Haunted House”, at the American Legion Post 119. This year we extended our calendar to fill every Friday and Saturday in the month of October!!!! For those of you who were able to join us last year you know how much work, creativity, passion, and absolute fright that we put into our wonderful project. Already our designs and creepy characters are rapidly and enthusiastically coming together. In fact, I just returned from Los Angeles from a horror convention to brush up on the latest scares, makeup, and monster acting classes. For those who may be interested in becoming a scare actor I will be approaching this as an acting 101/improv course and you WILL have fun. We are also in need for background team members to help with hidden rigs and scares. Each night is like a tiny little play with phenomenal, Hollywood quality sets. We will have 4 weekends to fill in October so we have plenty of room for folks to play and scare the bejeebies out of people. If you would like to volunteer your creativity for this extravaganza, please email Jenn Bass at firstname.lastname@example.org with “haunted house” specified in the subject line.
Our ENTIRE staff, which includes designers, construction workers, costume design and creations, scare actors, food, and, most importantly, advertising is 100% volunteered and donated. We are a group of folks with a passion for aiding our American veterans and our Legion that is always home and open to the community. In order for us to bring a project that is great up to one that is astounding we our reaching out to our beloved community for financial aid to help our cause. ANY donation is appreciated and a Go Fund Me link has been set up for anyone who is willing to help with our budget. Contact Justice Warren at email@example.com for information about the Go Fund Me link.
As an entertaining and creative donation incentive we are also selling tombstones! There are different price levels and stone sizes. We provide the headstone and you provide your imagination and art. Return your decorated headstone to the Legion to be included in the “graveyard” at the corner of highways 36 and 7 for the entire month of October. Please click here to access the tombstone donation form, print it off and deliver it to the Legion. This is a fantastic way for businesses to advertise and DONATE. Each donor will get a letter from the Legion acknowledging their tax-deductible donation.
Please call (970-586-6118) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org ) the Legion with any questions. The American Legion Auxiliary thanks you kindly.
